Serving Size : 12 4 pounds beef chuck roast
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups BruceH's Bourbonque Sauce (recipe below)
Place roast in crock pot. Rub all the spices on it. Add a little water. Cook on high 3 hours or until you can easliy shred. Take out and shred with a fork. Pour out water. Put shredded meat back into crock pot. Pour BBQ sauce on top. Cook on low for 3 more hours.

BruceH's Bourbonque Sauce
32 ounces tomato sauce (I use Hunt's)
6 packets splenda, packet
4 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring
3 tablespoons sugar free maple syrup
2 tablespoons dehydrated onion flakes
1/2 cup Jim Beam whiskey -- optional (I don't use this)
Bring ingredients to a slow simmer in a small sauce pan and reduce by about a third if you want to use it as a brush-on sauce.
Yield: "1 quart"
