1971 Ford Bronco 4x4

This Bronco belongs to Bob Morehouse. He bought it from a man Dave Burton (a club member) works with. Dave was telling me (Tim Morehouse) about how the man goes out west once a year and buys old vehicles. Once out there he drives them back and sells them to pay for his trip (two weeks of fishing). I told my brother Bob and we went to look at this Bronco. We got there and saw a rust-free truck. That of which is a rare thing in Cincinnati to see a rust-free Bronco. The man said he bought it in Idaho from a game warden. The truck had the warranty book still in the glove box and said that it was bought new in Colorado. The truck has a 302, 3 speed trans. with 64,000 miles on it and somewhere along the way somebody cut the rear wheel openings. Bob wants to put power steering and power brakes and an automatic trans. when he takes it apart to paint.

Bronco Pickup

Styling changes were minor for the four-wheel drive Bronco in 1971. About the biggest change was a new 12.7-gal fuel tank and a heavy-duty front drive axle. The standard features included: All-vinyl, full-width seat; fresh air heater and defroster; lockable glove compartment; padded instrument panel; energy-absorbing sun visors; vinyl-coated rubber floor mat; floor-mounted T-bar transfer- case control; Mono-Beam front suspension; self-adjusting brakes and fully-synchronized three-speed manual transmission.

Bronco Wagon

The Bronco wagon shared the features of the Pickup, but had a full length roof. The roof had fixed windows in the rear liftgate and on each side of the rear compartment.
